I  Please provide an explanation or your own interpretation of at least 3 proverbs (속담). 
You may explain them in your own words or create a situation for each one. 
"Two heads are better than one." (백지장도 맛들면 낫다.)
Two or more people working togther can solve problems quicker and better than
a person working alone. 
"Don't bite off more than you can chew." 분수에 맞는 일을 하라.
Basically, this means that you should not take on more responsibility than you can 
handle. It may be unwise to be overconfident. 
"Money does not grow on trees.  돈은 쇱게 얻어지는 것이 아니다. 
Money is generally not easy to obtain. 
Everything has a cost, so you might want to be frugal with your money. 
Make some financial goals and save for the things that you desire the most. 
For example, saving for your own home might be your number one priority. 
You will probably like to have a nice mode of transportation. 
There are always costs for food, medical expenses, transportion, family, entertainment, etc. 
II Describe how you would talk to various people. 
For example, how would you talk to friends, family, doctors, a police officer, professors, etc. 
With friends, I can speak more casually and be more at ease. 
Speaking with your family might be a different matter. I depends upon how strict they are. 
When you talk to your doctor, you should be able to provide specific information about 
your health and medical needs or problems. 
Of course, you should be respectful when speaking to people in authority. 
There are levels of politeness in many languages. 
Some are implicit and some are explicit. 
Provide one or two examples of your speech with different people.

1 Where are your favorite places to spend time with friends? Why?
(친구들 하거 ~ 제일 좋아하는 장소 ~)
Example: I like to play table tennis, so I go to my local 탁구장. (Table Tennis Room)
There, I can meet some new players and learn some new tactics and strategy. 
There is a singing room (노래방)  in my neighborhood that is very friendly and cordial. 
Even though I can't sing, they are very friendly. I sing with my friends and have a good 
time. 
2 How important is physical appearance in Korea? 기색(氣色) 
Please explain why.
Some studies have proclaimed that attractiveness is a quality that enhances your prospects
for getting a better job, finding your ideal mate and  success in life. 
This may or may not be true.  Please explain your thoughts about this topic. 
3 What are the causes and effects of pollution? 오염(汚染)
 How would you address the problem? Air, water, soil, noise, light, etc. 
Environmental pollution can be hazardous to your health. 
One of the most severe problems is air pollution. 
The causes vary from industrial pollution to the imported dust from China. 황사(黃砂) 
I'd like to see your thoughts about possible solutions. 
4 What was your best or worst vacation?  (You may describe a place or activities.)
(방학 경험)
Example: First, I will tell you about my worst vacation experience. It was in Hong Kong.
The weather was extremely hot and sultry. I was very uncomfortable. 
And, everyone wanted to sell me something. That was annoying!
It was not fun at all. 
My visit to Jeju Island (제주도) was the best!
I enjoyed the beach the most. I did some body surfing in the waves. 
The kids watched me and learned how to body surf. 
Exploring the island was quite fun and educational. 
The weather was perfect and everyone was kind and polite. 
5 Which places in Korea would you recommend to a foreign visitor? 
(관광(觀光)추천(推薦))
Example: I think most foreign visitors would like to visit the capital of Korea. 
That is, Seoul. There are many famous landmarks to visit and the people are friendly.
Of course, there is also the fabulous island of Korea, JejuDo. (제주도)

6 What is your most common mode of transportation? Why?        (교통(交通))
Example: It really depends upon my destination. I would prefer to walk if it is not too far. 
The ease of public transportation is excellent in Korea. 
The bus is comfortable and convenient. 
The taxi system is efficient, comfortable and not too expensive. 
7 Where do you usually go on the weekends?           (주말(週末))                 
Example: As for me, I never go out. I just prefer to stay at home. 
Maybe, I should go out and meet some people. 
The fact of the matter is that I simply stay home. 
I'm shy and comfortable being by myself. 
8 What kind of car (or vehicle) would you like to have in the future?   
     (이상(理想) 적인 자동차)
Example: Certainly, I would love to have a really cool sports car. 
The commercial with Stephen Hawking is brilliant. (you can see it on Youtube)
Maybe, a Jaguar Convertible. 
But, I will probably have something more practical and inexpensive.
A flying car?! Yes, that would be magnificent, but this is not going to be possible
any time soon. A helicopter might be a fun way to travel as well. 
9 Describe any restaurant experience.        (식당(食堂) 경험(經驗))
For my birthday, I went to a very nice restaurant. The name is 남일 숮불 갈비. 
The owner was very nice and cordial. 
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. 
It was a delightful experience!

10 What are you going to do for winter vacation?        (겨울방학 계획(計劃))
Example:
To be honest, I don't have any specific plans for this winter vacation.
Perhaps, I should go visit my parents in the U.S. 
Also, a visit to the 평창 Winter Olympics might be fun. 
Other than that, I really need to exercise. 
Also, I need to study. 
But, maybe I should just relax and take it easy.
